All of our hair extensions at Perfect Hair are made from 100% human remy hair in the highest quality. But the hairs that come into our factory are originally dark in color & thus have to go through a bleaching process before the actual color can be applied.

So because our color formulas & color blends are so unique, all of our hair extension colors are produced in our factory using toners.

When you place a toner on your client’s hair, you will also notice that it can disappear after a few washes. With some clients, this is already a little faster than others. This depends on :

• the client’s hair quality
• your customer’s aftercare
• What your client does with the hair during wear time

This same process will also happen with your hair extensions. And also depending on your client’s aftercare & what your client does with the hair during wear time, the color of the hair extensions will wash off faster than the other client.

Some colors wash off yellowish, others color rather reddish or perhaps even green. It all depends on the undertone of the hair extension color.

We recommend at all times to only give the products from the list of “How to best care for my Perfect Hair” & in personal aftercare brochure inform your client that it is best to have a refresher toner placed every month at your salon to keep the color intact.

Yes it may very well not be necessary for every client but this way you are covered for when it is.

The first important thing is to gently detangle your hair extensions several times daily. For this, use only the brushing tools offered by Perfect Hair as they are adapted to your hair extensions & techniques. You can find our brushes here.

Of course, the perfect haircare is also extremely important to keep your hair extensions intact. Perfect Hair is developing our own hair care line adapted to all the needs of our hair extensions & our own unique protective coating. Until then, lab tests have shown that the products below keep our protective layer & hair extensions perfectly intact. We recommend using only these haircare lines completely if you don’t want your hair extensions to get drier, damaged or change color quickly until the Perfect Care line is out.

There is no need to use other products to care & protect the hair extensions. In fact, we strongly discourage serums as they put a film over the hairs which in time makes them less able to breathe & therefore more sensitive.

Always use the full haircare ritual during every wash even if you don’t use heat on your own hair or hair extensions. These cream textures will ensure your hair extensions get extra nutrition & dry more beautifully.

Although we use the best quality hair extensions, we naturally want to keep it that way for as long as possible. Therefore, avoid at all times as many things as possible that can cause damage to your own hair & thus hair extensions such as : sun, sea & sand chlorinators & colorings….

Perfect Hair ensures that your hair extensions are of unprecedented quality the day you receive them but since the final quality during the wearing period of your hair extensions is determined by the aftercare applied by the client or yourself, Perfect Hair cannot be held responsible for this.

If you do not take proper care of our hair extensions, they can break down after the very first wash. When you take perfect care of our hair extensions, as described in our FAQ “How do I best care for my Perfect Hair?”, they will last a long time. Below are the guideline times that you should enjoy if you fully apply our recommended haircare ritual.

Clip-ins
These hair extensions you have to remove & reposition every day when you need to. Because you use them sporadically they often last for months.

Keratins
Keratin hair extensions should be removed after 3 – 4 months. You cannot reuse these hair extensions.

Normal, invisible & mini tapes
Tape hair extensions should be repositioned around 6 – 8 weeks. You can reuse them for up to 6 months.

Hand tied & secret wefts
Weft hair extensions should be repositioned around 6 – 8 weeks. You can reuse them for up to 6 months.

I-tips
I-tips should be rehomed around 4 – 8 weeks. You can reuse them for up to 6 months.

Of course, you may be able to wear your reusable hair extensions like the tapes, wefts & i-tips for longer. So much the better. Enjoy it as long as you can.
